All images will be featured as hand-embellished giclees on canvas in a limited edition of 195. All pieces are signed and numbered by the artist. I basically have two loves in life, Rogerson says. Music and Art. I can't paint without music. In these paintings, I'm able to combine my love of art and music onto a blank canvas. I chose jazz because it gave me freedom to do anything. It allows me to go crazy with color and line. Jazz has no rules and it's all about expressing yourself. It's like a candy store for an artist's imagination. Rogerson's father is a musician and music was always a part of the Rogerson's family life. Music came very easily for me, Tim remembers. I played all the time. I can play almost every instrument, and my strongest talents would be guitar, piano, saxophone, and drums. I've played in many bands, inside and outside of school but my favorite were always jazz bands because the music is so different. Jazz has more freedom; it's offbeat and has no rules. It's much more about playing music than reading notes off a page. I love it.
